I have been remiss in posting a pic of the wonderful RAK Carol (Caronslilies) sent to me. She had offered her Bug Collector chart to a new home, and being a
recently rabid JD fan, I jumped at the opportunity. But, Carol saw my post about receiving Mini Perle as a RAK and that I was a needlepoint newbie. So, she
sent me canvas and a host of other goodies too numerous to mention (hence the pic):
Kinda like winning the lottery! Thanks so much, Carol.
And, the generosity of my stitching friends continues...Charisse (MathTeach1) sent me Dragon Dreams Fantasy Wedding Blessing!!! I have been on the lookout for this chart for some time. Belinda had sent it to Charisse some time ago, and Charisse PIF'd it to me! YAY! Love the verse so much. I may be stitching it in the not too distant future, as I hear my dear cousin is "extremely, very serious" with her guy. This is good. We like the guy. So, much appreciation to Charisse for sending the chart in plenty of time for me to floss toss!
Speaking of my dear cousin, I mentioned in a previous post that I am customizing The Sweetheart Tree's N is for Nurse for her in recognition of her graduation from the nurse practitioners program at Vandy. I am almost ready for the personalization, so I thought I'd share a pic.
I stitched a lot of this in really bad lighting at Diva's volleyball lessons. So, there has been much frogging. But, I hope to have it finished in the next week or so. I think that's doable.
I also didn't share my June Crabby block. Instead of the x's that are supposed to be gnats or something, I subbed another bead. Just think it looks better. One advantage to having a sizable beading stash is the ability to experiment. I'll start on July tonight.
And finally, I have been stitching and stitching and stitching...you get the idea...on Hanging Gardens. I feel like I am making not so much progress, but I was suggested to me by Jill that I should share a pic anyway as it might help me to see how much progress I have made. Don't get me wrong, I am still insanely in love with HG. But, the first two parts are incredibly stitching intensive - even have a fair bit of confetti-ish stitching. I'm stitching the first two parts together. Fabric is Toitoi by Country Stitch.

What I want to accomplish in July:
- Finish Crabby July block
- Finish N is for Nurse
- Complete parts 1 & 2 for Hanging Gardens
- Stitch one ornament
I'm pretty sure I'll accomplish the first two. It's that third one I have concerns about...
