Diva's high school volleyball team lost yesterday in the finals of the state tournament, which makes them State Runner-up for the third year in a row. The
girls are really devastated. I think it will take them a while to bounce back. While the team that defeated them is an excellent team, our Lady Irish beat
themselves with so many more unforced errors than they typically make. They just did not play like themselves, and I think that will haunt them for quite a
while. I just hope they can remember that it took quite a bit of hard work and determination to get to the finals in the first place. Really, they should be
proud of that accomplishment. At the start of the season, they were not even expected to qualify for the state tournament. Hopefully, the coaches will help
them think about how much they have accomplished this season. I certainly am proud of them, and I know all of the parents are, too.
