Tonight is cheer competition, so after I tell you how we did, you don't have to hear about it anymore for my competition coaching exploits will be over.
For the basketball cheerleading season, I become strictly a glorified babysitter - a much more relaxed situation for me.
I just finished burning the two copies of our music we have to provide to the competition organizers. I need to pick up the sandwich trays which should be ready in 30 minutes. The girls are all coming to my house to do hair, eat, decorate the cars with car chalk, and go through the routine a few times. They are usually a bundle of nerves. I'm not nearly as nervous as last year. I think I'm just ready to be done.
Whatever happens, I hope the girls (and their parents) are proud of their hard work. I am. Wish us well.
And, fortunately, my migraine "popped" sometime after midnight. Thank God for miracles. While I am dog-tired, at least I can form a complete thought without searing pain. I'm sure I'll collapse tonight when I get home.
